Perception is bound to change when you win against an unbeaten team, and media around the country are liking what they saw from FC Dallas this weekend.
The second 2-0 scoreline of the year, this time at home against an MLS Cup contender in Montreal, seemed to serve as evidence for media that the loss at Houston was a fluke and not the team's default form.
You can read the full power rankings below.
"They clearly took a mulligan for the 5-0 loss to Houston two weeks ago, and were defensively dominant against the previously rampant Impact. We think that's what this team truly is."
"FC Dallas out-shot Montreal, 15-6, but needed until the 79th minute to break the Impact’s defensive posture, eventually winning 2-0."
"Blitzed for five goals last week in Houston, FCD tightened up the defense and eventually got goals with a great Mauro Diaz free kick and a late Max Urruti strike. So far this season FCD has pitched two shutouts and surrendered five in its other game. Seven players have been called for international duty so what happens after the break is anybody’s guess."
