FC Dallas traveled north to Kansas City this weekend as a U-17 squad mixing the two oldest Academy teams began their Generation adidas Cup qualifying circuit in style with three wins from three matches setting themselves up in great shape to once again qualify for the Championship Division.
In the first match on Friday, FC Dallas defeated the Columbus Crew 4-0 behind goals from Alberto Carrillo, Cole Guindon, Alonso Molina and Paxton Pomykal.
FCD followed that up on Saturday with a 4-1 win over the hosts Sporting Kansas City. Jommar Reyes opened the scoring for FC dallas but Sporting KC equalized mid-way through the second half.
Luchi Gonzalez's side re-took the lead in the 56th minute through Daniel Evans while Jesus Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal added insurance goals late to seal the 4-1 win.
In Monday's finale, FC Dallas scored another emphatic 3-0 win over the Chicago Fire to finish the weekend 3-0-0 with a +10 goal differential.
The FC Dallas Academy teams continue US Soccer Development Academy season play on Sunday as they host Solar Chelsea in league play.
