Director of Soccer Operations

Ferruzzi, 49, was named Director of Soccer Operations on Jan. 9, 2019.


He joined FC Dallas in 2004 ahead of the 2005 season, serving five coaches over his tenure with the club. In 14 seasons with the team as a coach, FC Dallas compiled a regular season record of 186-147-123 in MLS play. He also had a 2-2-1 record as an interim head coach in 2008 prior to the hiring of Schellas Hyndman.


A San Antonio-native, Ferruzzi played collegiate soccer at the University of North Carolina from 1989 to 1992. He was selected sixth overall in the 1997 MLS Supplemental Draft by the Tampa Bay Mutiny, where he had two assists in 19 games. He also played four seasons with the Richmond Kickers (1999-2002) and two seasons with the Minnesota Thunder (2003-2004). In six seasons, Ferruzzi captained both sides to the A-League final.


Ferruzzi holds his USSF “A” coaching license. He has served as a reserve team, pre-academy and premier team coach in the FC Dallas youth club. In 2012, Ferruzzi coached the FC Dallas Reserves, leading the team to 6-3-1 record where it finished in second place of the MLS Reserve League’s Central/Mountain Division.
