It's been a strong couple of weeks for FCD Academy alumns in the college game with Boyd Okwuono's UNC ranked #1, SMU picking up their first conference win and more. Here's your second FCD NCAA College Round-Up:
Bobby Edet - Freshman Forward - Furman University
After a prolific scoring career with the FCD Academy, Edet has seamlessly transitioned to the college game with a couple huge games for Furman. Edet led Furman to an 8-0 win over Presbyterian with his first career hat trick.

The freshman followed that up with a huge game-winning goal on Monday night in a 1-0 win over Gardner-Webb. Even more exciting is the fact that Edet’s big goal on Monday came from another FCD Academy product, freshman midfielder Marco Ortiz.
Allie Tripp - Junior Defender - Arkansas University
Junior defender Allie Tripp is tied for the Razorback lead with three assists and she scored her first goal of the season last Friday in Arkansas' 2-1 loss to Ole Miss. The Razorbacks are 7-2-0 on the season and continue SEC play this weekend against Kentucky and South Carolina.
Jamie Ibarra - Senior Goalkeeper - SMU
SMU scored their biggest win of the season last weekend, a 1-0 win at Rutgers in their first-ever American Athletic Conference match. Ibarra earned AAC goalkeeper of the week honors with the shutout, his first such award this season.
The senior registered four saves in the match and boasts a 1.14 GAA this season. You can catch Ibarra and a host of other FCD alumni on SMU this Friday night as they’ll play at #5 Washington in a match nationally televised on the PAC-12 Network.
Skylar Hagan - Junior Defender - Old Dominion University
The outside back has started every game for ODU this season as the Monarchs have enjoyed a solid start to the NCAA season. They’ve hit their stride in the last two weeks with a respectable overtime loss to #3 Creighton and wins over Central Florida and VMI as well as a solid 1-1 draw at #8 Maryland on Tuesday. The Monarchs open Conference-USA play on Saturday with a trip closer to Frisco against Tulsa.
Natalie Huggins - Junior Forward - Baylor University
The Baylor Junior has started all nine games for the Bears this season contributing three goals and an assist for the undefeated side. Huggins and Baylor begin Big 12 play with home games against Oklahoma and West Virginia this weekend.
Boyd Okwuono - Junior Defender - University of North Carolina
The #1 ranked Tar Heels shockingly lost their first game of the season, a 1-0 loss to William and Mary on Tuesday. Okwuono has still remained one of the top defenders in the college game with the stout Tar Heel defense allowing just one goal in their last three games.
Kailee Hervey - Freshman Forward - Louisiana Tech University
The freshman has started six of ten games for the Lady who have won their last three games. Hervey is the second-highest scorer for La. Tech with three goals and two in her last three games.
Mark Ashby - Sophomore Defender - Harvard University
Sophomore defender Mark Ashby has started six of the seven games at the back for the Harvard defense and the Denton-native led the Crimson to their first win of the season, a 2-1 victory over UMASS on Sunday. He followed that up with a clean sheet in a scoreless draw with Boston University on Wednesday. The Crimson host St. Francis on Sunday with their big match against Yale looming in a couple weeks.
