FRISCO, Texas – The FC Dallas Academy teams hosted Andromeda this weekend and outscored the visitors by a combined score of 8-1. The U-15 Pre Academy team was idle once again, but the U-14s and U-13s both came away with wins against Andromeda.
FC Dallas U-18s: 7
Andromeda FC: 0
The U-18s had to settle for a 1-1 draw when they last faced Andromeda in October - a match that ended FCD's season-starting six-game winning streak. There would be no settling this time around, as Dallas piled seven goals on their opponent while registering their fourth straight shutout. The game-winning goal was scored just two minutes in by El Paso native Alonso Gallegos, and FCD ran away with the match from there. Jesus De La Tejera burst onto the scoresheet with his first two goals of the season in the 10th and 15th minutes, respectively.
Gallegos bagged a brace of his own when he scored his second goal of the match just before the break. Not to be matched, De La Tejera scored his third in the 62nd minute to become just the second FCD U-18 player this season to score a hat trick. U.S. U-17 Residency product Fernando Laverde notched FCD's sixth goal in the 64th minute, and forward Bobby Edet rounded out the scoring in the 89th with his sixth goal of the season.
With an overall record of 15-1-2, the U-18s remain in first place in the Texas Division.
FC Dallas U-16s: 1
Andromeda FC: 1
In a reversal of fortunes, the U-16s beat Andromeda 7-0 when they last met, but ended in a 1-1 tie last weekend. FC Dallas jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when Antonio Aguilar scored his fourth goal of the season. Unfortunately, Andromeda midfielder Hayden Bahadoorsingh found the back of the net in the 35th minute and the match ended in a draw.
The U-16s remain in second place in the Texas Division with 24 points through 15 divisional games, 10 points behind the first place Dallas Texans.
FC Dallas U-14s: 4
Andromeda FC: 1
The U-14 Pre Academy team stayed undefeated through their first 12 games as they beat Andromeda 4-1 for the second straight time last weekend. Joel Avilez scored his first two goals of the season for FC Dallas in the win, while Alejandro Martinez scored his third of the campaign and Christian Ramirez scored his 14th.
FC Dallas U-13s: 5
Andromeda FC: 2
The U-13s got their second straight win in a 5-2 victory over Andromeda. Alejandro Zendejas scored his first two goals of the season, and FCD also got goals from Brandon Pike, Eddie Munjoma and Benji Granillo.
