FRISCO, Texas -- The FC Dallas Youth teams are making their presence known on the national level. TopDrawerSoccer.com recently published a youth club ranking system that has the FCD U-18 Academy team as number one in the nation.
FC Dallas Youth Director of Coaching Chris Hayden said the recognition reflects the work his players put in.
“We are proud to have the U18 FC Dallas Academy ranked number one by Top Drawer Soccer,” said Hayden. “This recognition is the result of an extraordinary commitment and effort from our players and the continued support from our ownership and the entire FC Dallas organization.”
The system assigns points to clubs from all over the nation based on performance in championships, league play and tournaments. Championships and league play are weighted more heavily than tournaments.
Director of Player Development Oscar Pareja said the FCD Youth system would continue to work hard to earn national recognition.
“The future is bright for all of them due to their commitment and hard work,” said Pareja. “FC Dallas will continue to provide a professional environment for our players to make sure they reach their potential”
Also ranking for FC Dallas were the 97B Premier team, who earned third place among U14 boys clubs, and the Youth 96B Premier team, who ranked sixth in the nation among the U-15 boys clubs.
