FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 3, 2010) – FC
Dallas President and CEO Doug Quinn is ringing up 2011 season ticket sales lately
thanks to his MLS counterparts and his team’s hot streak. After an FC Dallas
win over Chivas USA and a road draw at Columbus, Quinn and his friendly wagers
have earned eight 2011 season tickets for local charities.
This Saturday, the FC Dallas CEO is hoping the streak continues against Toronto FC. An FC Dallas win on Saturday at Pizza Hut Park will earn the Dallas branch of Dress for Success two 2011 season tickets. Should Toronto FC come away with a victory, Quinn will donate four tickets to the 2010 MLS Cup to a Toronto-based charity of COO Paul Bierne’s choice.
Quinn chose Dress for Success, an organization committed to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women, in honor of the weekend’s Labor Day holiday. The non-profit group provides professional attire, a network of support and career development tools to help these women reach their career goals.
Quinn also pledged four 2011 season tickets to the Frisco Miracle League two weeks ago, courtesy of childhood friend and Chivas USA President Shawn Hunter. The two wagered the charitable donation on the outcome of the Aug. 21 match between their two sides, which saw Dallas finish on top 1-0. Following the Dallas side’s record-setting draw at Columbus, Quinn donated four 2011 season tickets to Lift Up America.
Quinn intends to carry on his charitable ticket donations for the remaining 2010 FC Dallas games with “Quinn’s Get In and Win Charity Challenge” prior to each contest.
FC Dallas’ “Get In and Win” season ticket campaign delivers huge savings to new and returning season ticket holders. Anyone who renews or purchases 2011 season tickets before Monday, Oct. 4 will receive either a 30-40 percent discount on the 2010 pricing for 2011 season tickets, or a free seat upgrade
