The agent for FC Dallas defender Heath Pearce has confirmed renewed interest in his client from Turkish champs Bursaspor, but says there are no deep talks over a move at this time.
Last summer, the Green Crocodiles failed to register signing the then-free agent on a two-year deal before the transfer window closed.
Though Pearce would now require a transfer fee, Bursaspor remain enamored – but there is no significant iron fire at this time.
"There's been contact between us and them, but that's the extent of it," Lyle Yorks recently told MLSsoccer.com.
For his part, Pearce is focused on repaying FC Dallas for cushioning the blow from his narrowly missing out on the US World Cup 2010 squad.
"My ambitions tell me I'd like to play abroad again, but I am happy in Dallas," Pearce told MLSsoccer.com by phone on Tuesday. "After coming back to Dallas, I've had so much support. I really appreciate the support from the club and the fans have been really great to me."
Pearce is expected to work from right midfield when FC Dallas head into the World Cup schedule break by hosting the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday.
