Professional

2016: Started in 30 MLS games, three US Open Cup games, one CONCACAF Champions League game and both MLS Cup Playoff matches against Seattle… Finished the season with four goals assisted by Mauro Diaz, three of them were game winning (May 11 against Portland, July 4 against Orland City SC and Oct. 1 against LA Galaxy)…  FCD won in all four games he scored and finished the season 15-7-8 in games he started… On Oct. 1, Zimmerman scored the only goal in the 1-0 win against LA in the 39th minute after he headed a pass from Diaz inside the far post… He recorded 2,700 minutes played, a season high for the club.
2014: Injured at the beginning of the season, the 21-year-old center back made his first start against Red Bull New York on May 4… Made the top 18 for eight games before suffering another injury on June 7… Returned to the lineup in a 2-1 win against the LA Galaxy on Oct. 12… Finished the season on a nine-game run in the top 18… Started and went 90 minutes in Dallas’ 2-1 win in MLS Cup playoffs over Vancouver on Oct. 29.
2013: Made seven appearances for the first team, tallying two goals… Made MLS debut on May 11 versus DC United as a 90th minute sub… Earned first MLS start on May 25 versus San Jose, helping Dallas to a 1-0 win over the Earthquakes… Scored first MLS goal as a second-half substitute on June 22 versus Sporting Kansas City.
