Garcia signed a Homegrown contract with FC Dallas on June 18, 2013.
2012: Garcia earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors finishing second on the Tar Heels with four goals in 23 games while leading UNC in assists with six. In his lone season at UNC, Garcia was named to the Soccer America All-Freshman First Team, Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Team of the Season and College Soccer News All-Freshman First Team as the Tar Heels advanced all the way to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
2012: Garcia was the leading scorer on the FC Dallas Under-18 squad that won the US Soccer Development Academy National Championship. Danny scored 20 goals in 29 games including a goal in the championship game win over Vancouver. In 2012, Garcia also played three official MLS Reserve League games for FC Dallas tallying one assist.
2011: Garcia finished as the leading scorer on the FC Dallas Under-18 squad that lost to Pateadores in the national championship game. Garcia scored 15 goals in 29 games for the season. Danny also played six official MLS Reserve League games for FC Dallas scoring two goals.
2013: Garcia was a member of Tab Ramos' 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup squad. He started the first game of the tournament against Spain and also appeared in the third game against Ghana. Garcia was a huge part of the United States Under-20 squad that advanced all the way to the final of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championships playing four matches including 120 minutes in the 3-1 final loss to Mexico.
