2014: At 33 years of age, Perez recorded his best season in MLS: 29 games played, 24 games started, 2061 minutes played, 11 goals (3 game-winning goals), six assists (1 game-winning assist)… Was the leading goal-scorer for FC Dallas for the third consecutive season… Had a goal and an assist in Dallas’ first match of the season, a 3-2 win against Montreal on March 8… Recorded two goals in a 2-1 win against Vancouver on Sept. 13. 2013: Started 21 games and appeared in 25 for FC Dallas, scoring a team-best 11 goals in 2,019 minutes of action… Chipped in three assists… Notched a brace versus the LA Galaxy on Aug. 11 to help Dallas to a 3-3 draw at home… Also scored twice at Colorado on June 1 in a 2-2 draw with the Rapids… After being away on International duty, joined the club for a road game at New England and subbed on in the final 30 minutes to score the game-winner on March 30. 2012: In his first season with FC Dallas, Perez led the club in scoring with nine goals… He also had four assists, two of which were game-winning assists… Perez finished the season with 1705 minutes played in 20 games, 19 of which were starts. 2010-2011: While still under contract with Tigres, Perez played on loan with San Luis (5G, 17GP), Club León (19G, 28GP) and Indios (3G, 12GP). 2009: Joined Pachuca on loan during the Clausura… Scored eight goals in 15 matches… Was also loaned to Al Wasi (Dubai) during the 2009 season… Scored four goals in eight matches for Al Wasi. 2008: Signed with UANL Tigres on January 18, his seventh club and first in Mexico… Scored eight goals in 31 matches. 2006-2007: Joined Cúcuta… Won the Copa Mustang (equivalent of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup) in 2006… Made his debut in Copa Libertadores with Cúcuta, scoring eight goals, including two against Argentina's Boca Juniors… The eight goals were the second-most in the tournament that year… Was acquired by Hércules CF of the Spanish Second División on May 29, 2007… Scored four goals in 16 matches with Hércules CF. 2005-2006: Signed with Deportivo Cali, scoring 20 goals in 54 appearances. 2004: Joined Centauros (Colombia) and went on to score 29 goals in 37 matches, catching the attention of one of Colombia's top clubs Deportivo Cali. 2003: Signed with Envigado (Colombia) and scored six times in 29 appearances. 2002: Joined top Uruguayan side Nacional, but made only two appearances. 2001: Joined Árabe Unido (Panama) and continued his goal scoring form (10 goals in 36 games). 1998-2000: Pérez began his career in his native Panama with Panamá Viejo… went on to score 27 goals in 56 matches.

International career

Made his debut for the Panama national football team in 2001 against El Salvador… Scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Panama during the 2014 World Cup Qualifying cycle… Added three goals in four games on the way to a runner-up finish in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup… Played for Panama at the 2007 Gold Cup, in which they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the U.S... Ended up as Panama's top scorer, with three goals and one assist... Was also named in the 2007 Gold Cup "Best XI"…  As of February 16, 2014 Perez has scored 36 goals in 86 appearances with Panama.

Born in the district of St. Migulito, Panama… Is very proud to call Panama his home… Family is his motivation, inspiring him to become a better player every day... No. 1 fan was always his father… Every time he scores a goal he points his fingers to the sky at his father to celebrate the moment... Is nicknamed “Super Raton…” Has over thirty tattoos, all of which have significant meaning to him… Enjoys watching telenovelas and playing PlayStation… All-time favorite dish is his mother’s ‘arroz con pollo…” First job was washing cars for two years when he was 15-16 years old.
