FC Dallas Goal of the Year Quarterfinal Round 3

Michel's olimpico takes on Walker's dramatic equalizer

Quarterfinal 1 - #1 Jair Benitez (83% votes) def. #8 Fabian Castillo (17% votes)

Quarterfinal 2 - #5 Je-Vaughn Watson (56% votes) def. #4 Mauro Diaz (43% votes)

We're into the bottom half of the bracket and today's matchup is certainly an interesting one with two of the most memorable goals of the season, but for very different reasons. Michel made headlines across the league as he burst onto the scene early in the year with his trademark free kicks and corner kicks, but none was better than his olimpico in Seattle. One of the most rare goals you'll see around the world, Michel's driven corner eluded everyone including Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Michael Gspurning to dramatically tie the game 2-2 at CenturyLink Field.

Going against Michel is Walker Zimmerman's header against Sporting KC. While the goal may not be the most technically gifted on the list, it might have been the most dramatic moment at Toyota Stadium this season as FCD came from two goals down with two late strikes to earn a 2-2 draw against the MLS Cup finalists.
