FC Dallas declines 2014 contract option on David Ferreira, two others
FRISCO, Texas (Monday, Nov. 25) – FC Dallas has declined contract options on midfielders David Ferreira, Ramon Nunez and Erick, the club announced today. Ferreira and Nunez are eligible for the MLS Re-Entry Draft in December while Erick has not played enough MLS seasons to qualify.

Ferreira joined FC Dallas at the start of the 2009 season. The attacking midfielder started all 30 games that season and ranked second on the team in goals scored (8) and third in assists (7). He was named MLS MVP after leading FC Dallas to the 2010 MLS Cup with eight goals and 13 assists during the regular season. Ferreira added two goals and three assists during Dallas’ four-game playoff run that season. The 34-year-old ranks third in franchise history in regular season assists (39) and is tied for seventh in goals scored (24) with Eddie Johnson and Dante Washington.
Nunez, 28, rejoined FC Dallas for the 2013 season after scoring 14 goals and nine assists in 67 appearances with the club from 2004 to 2007. The Honduran spent time with Chivas USA, Olimpia, Puebla FC, Leeds United and Scunthorpe United, before suffering a torn ACL in 2012 and returning to Dallas. After recovering from his injury, Nunez went on to score one goal and three assists in 10 appearances.
Erick, 25, joined FC Dallas to fill a need in the defensive midfield on July 5, 2013. The Brazilian logged 652 minutes in nine appearances this season.
