FC Dallas and City of Frisco welcome Toyota at Tuesday press conference

FRISCO, Texas -- A good year for FC Dallas got even better on Tuesday morning as Hunt Sports Group Chairman Clark Hunt, HSG Vice President Dan Hunt and Gulf States Toyota VP of Marketing Brent Hillyer unveiled Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center as the new home of FC Dallas and FC Dallas Youth.

The partnership with Toyota ends a nearly year-long process led by Dan Hunt of finding the right fit for stadium naming rights and means FCD now has concurrent jersey and stadium sponsors for the first time in club history.

“I have had the best ten months of my working life at this stadium,” said Dan Hunt. “It allows me to see my father’s creative genius every single day. We all have the opportunity of a lifetime because of his commitment to soccer, and now because of our new partner’s commitment to the beautiful game here in Frisco.”

“This 145-acre complex is second-to-none and allows us to produce some of the top young players in America, and to our newest partner, thank you for your commitment and support in this first-class sports and entertainment venue.”

The long-term partnership with Toyota, who employs nearly 6,000 people across Texas including almost 3,000 at their San Antonio manufacturing facility, only further solidifies their commitment to soccer and the state of Texas.

“This partnership with FC Dallas is just another demonstration of our love for the Lone Star state,” said Hillyer. “Toyota prides itself in stepping up to be a good community leader and partnering through support of great organizations like FC Dallas. We look forward to a successful long-term partnership with this outstanding team and organization.”

The Tuesday morning press conference was attended by many of FCD’s sponsorship partners as well as Frisco city officials including Mayor, Maher Maso.

“If they’re a partner to [FC Dallas], then they’re a partner of ours,” said Maso. “Really, even more than that, the Hunt Sports Group and the entire team has become a family to us…on behalf of our city council and our residents we welcome the Toyota family to our family.”
