Academy Update: U-18s, U-16s hang shutouts on Rush
FRISCO, Texas – The FC Dallas Academy teams shutout the Texas Rush by a combined score of 5-0 Saturday. It marked the first time both teams won since the first week of December. The Pre Academy games that were scheduled for last weekend were cancelled due to rain in the Houston area and will be rescheduled in the next few weeks. However, the U-14s and U-13s did host the Dallas Texans last Wednesday, splitting two shutouts.
FC Dallas U-18s: 2
Texas Rush: 0
U-18 goalkeeper Caleb Underwood posted his second straight shutout on Saturday when FCD shutout the Rush 2-0. Midfielder David Robledo scored the game-winner in the 21st minute to put the Dallas side up midway through the first half. El Paso native Alonso Gallegos put the game away three minutes from regulation when he tallied his first goal of the season in the 87th minute.
The win improved the squad's overall record to 13-1-2 as they continue to dominate the Texas Division with an 11-point cushion.
FC Dallas U-16s: 3
Texas Rush: 0
After three straight draws the U-16s earned their first win since early December by shutting out the Rush with three first half goals. Alberto Galvan wasted little time getting the scoring started when he buried his second goal in as many games to put FC Dallas up 1-0 in the second minute. Antonio Aguilar doubled the lead in the 17th minute when he scored his third goal of the season and Abdulraham Yassine scored the final goal of the match in the 33rd minute. Yassine now leads the U-16s in scoring with six goals on the season.
The win boosted the U-16s up a spot in the standings to third place in the Texas Division, still 10 points behind the first-place Dallas Texans with an overall record of 6-4-6.
FC Dallas U-14s: 1
Dallas Texans: 0
The U-14 Pre Academy team beat the Dallas Texans 1-0 after playing the squad to a scoreless draw back in November. Christian Ramirez score the lone goal in the FC Dallas win.
FC Dallas U-13s: 0
Dallas Texans: 3
The U-13s were shutout by the Texans for the second time in as many meetings last Wednesday when they dropped a 3-0 result to the visitors.

The FC Dallas Academy and Pre Academy teams will host the Houston Dynamo this weekend at the Complex at FC Dallas Stadium. It'll be the first meeting between the Texas Derby rival since the first week of November in Houston. That week the U-18s won 5-0, the U-16s earned a 1-1 draw, the U-15s lost 1-0, the U-14s won 4-0 and the U-13s lost 2-1.
