FC Dallas prepares for games with Revs, Wizards

FC Dallas (10-2-12, 42 pts) is unbeaten in 15 straight after an intense battle with Red Bull New York Thursday evening at Pizza Hut Park. Dallas was able to extend its unbeaten streak with a 2-2 draw despite playing a man down for 69 minutes and losing two starters to injuries. Rookie Eric Alexander had a hand in both goals FC Dallas scored. The midfielder assisted on Milton Rodriguez's goal in the 24th minute and scored on a great indivudial effort in the 68th minute.

FC Dallas is set to meet the New England Revolution (7-14-3, 24 pts) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Pizza Hut Park. The team will train on the adidas Field on Thursday and Friday before traveling to Kansas City to face the Wizards (7-9-6, 27 pts) Saturday. Kickoff of that game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Both matches this week are to be broadcast live on FSSW Plus and MLS Direct Kick. Radio coverage of both games will be broadcast on ESPN Deportes 1540 AM.

Notable this week:

Dallas has the longest unbeaten streak in MLS this season (Los Angeles previously had a 12-game unbeaten streak end with a 1-0 loss to Real Salt Lake on June 9). The all-time MLS mark for an unbeaten streak is 19 games set by the Columbus Crew from July 3, 2004 to April 2, 2005. Dallas’ current 15-game streak is the second longest MLS mark set within a single season (D.C. United and San Jose each had 14-game unbeaten streaks in 2006 and 2005, respectively).

FC Dallas is on pace to allow the fewest goals in club history with only 19 goals against through 24 games (0.79 GAA). The current club record of 35 goals against in 32 games was set during the 1999 MLS season. The all-time MLS record for GAA in a season is 0.82 set by Pat Onstad in the 2007 campaign.

The club broke the previous franchise record for consecuative minutes without conceeding a goal against New York. The previous club record of 370 minutes was surpassed in the 12th minute of Thursday's contest. Red Bull New York scored in stoppage time of the first half to end the streak at 415 minutes.
