Eye in the Sky: Sept. 8
saw the opening of another collegiate men’s soccer season and with it, three
months of traveling to scout potential draftees for the FC Dallas coaching staff.
For those of
you who question college soccer, look no further than Zach Loyd and Eric
Alexander. Loyd (University of North Carolina; fifth overall pick) and Alexander (Indiana University; 44th overall
pick) are both collegiate draft picks who have done very well in FC Dallas
colors this season. With impending roster expansion in 2011, it is
imperative that we do our homework and see the top student-athletes play over
the next three months prior to the MLS SuperDraft in January.
So while most
of you enjoyed the last summer vacation opportunity, my Labor Day weekend went

This meeting was part of ongoing conversations regarding a possible pre-season
training site (among other long-term projects).
