FCD president celebrates record with charitable donation
FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 31,
2010) – FC Dallas set the MLS mark for a road unbeaten streak last weekend,
playing Columbus to a scoreless draw for their 10th consecutive road contest
without a loss. Dallas club President and CEO Doug Quinn is celebrating his
club’s road feat with something closer to home by donating four 2011 season
tickets to Lift Up America.
Clark Hunt, chairman of Hunt Sports
Group, which owns and operates FC Dallas and the Columbus Crew, was part of the
grassroots effort to form Lift Up America and has remained involved with the
organization since. Last November, FC Dallas teamed with Lift Up America, Tyson
Foods and the North Texas Food Bank to distribute 15 tons of protein to more
than 10 local food agencies for the holidays.
Proceeds from a charity auction of the
tickets Quinn donated could provide up to 120,000 meals for families in the
Quinn also pledged four 2011 season
tickets to the Frisco Miracle League two weeks ago, courtesy of childhood
friend and Chivas USA President Shawn Hunter. The two wagered the charitable
donation on the outcome of the Aug. 21 match between their two sides, which saw
Dallas finish on top 1-0.
Quinn intends to carry on his
charitable ticket donations for the remaining 2010 FC Dallas games with “Quinn’s
Get In and Win Charity Challenge” prior to each contest.

ticket campaign delivers huge savings to new and returning season ticket
