What’s at stake

Both teams are struggling with their respective seasons and will want to
add a 'W' to their slim win columns. Philly are back at home for only
the second time all year, while Dallas have drawn over half of their
matches and would like to spoil the Union’s party.

Last meeting

This is the first-ever league match between the two teams. However, they
did meet in a preseason match that saw three Union players see red in a
2-0 loss.

Heroes & Villains

Jeff Cunningham vs. Danny Califf & Michael OrozcoThe
striker will most likely be employed as the lone forward in this match,
and that will suit him just fine. Quick off the ball and dangerous in
space, Cunningham will surely give Califf and Orozco troubles as they
have looked pretty shaky at times this season.

Heath Pearce vs. Roger Torres and Fred — The
experienced defender will need to cut the Union’s supply lines in this
match, and both Torres and Fred like to drift down the wings, which is Pearce's
territory.

Stat that makes you go “Hmm …"

FC Dallas already have four draws on the year, which is just two fewer
than they had all of last season.

He said it

“It is also difficult to play at home. The problem that we have been
having so far with being a way is that we have been making mistakes and
haven’t been able to score. We’re playing well and the only thing we
need to do now is to win.” — The Union’s Fred on how it’s not always
easy playing at home
