FC Dallas President & CEO Doug Quinn drew two names today from an FC Dallas Foundation raffle to walk out with the U.S. Women's National Team and New Zealand team during pre-game on Saturday.

The USWNT Raffle winners are Ainsley Powell and Leah Rooks. Congratulations - it should be a once in a lifetime experience.

Semiconductor Solutions donated the two packages for raffling by the FC Dallas Foundation.

We're a little more than a month away from the start of the 2012 MLS season. Some media outlets are already looking ahead to what might happen. Sporting News' Brian Straus previewed the MLS Western Conference and had this to say about FC Dallas:

This year’s goal: Energy and passion.

The league’s 2010 MVP, David Ferreira, broke his ankle. The league’s up-and-coming American star, Brek Shea, ran out of gas. And the weight of a congested schedule, not to mention the tragic death of club icon Bobby Rhine at 35, sapped the energy from the 2010 MLS runner-up.

If Dallas attacks the ’12 campaign with vigor, it should be a playoff team that can threaten in a short series.

Ferreira and Shea are back, and in conjunction with newly-signed Panamanian striker Blas Pérez they’ll form one of the league’s most effective and exciting attacking combinations. Recent U.S. national team call-up Zach Loyd is an asset as well. They should be fun to watch, and with a bit of luck—and perhaps another addition or two—Dallas will be in the mix at the end.

We all know how important it is to stay cool during training, as Bruno Guarda displays to the right. But it looks like Ricardo Villar (below) might've taken cooling off a little too far at a recent training session.
