Congratulations go out to FC Dallas midfielder Andrew Jacobson who was named to MLSSoccer.com's Team of the Week for week five. It's the first time Jacobson, who was named man of the match in the MLSSoccer.com game recap, has made the Team of the Week while FCD goalkeeper Raul Fernandez also appears on the bench this week. Read Nicholas Rosano's comments on Jacobson's game as well as some numbers behind his performance below:

Bench: Raúl Fernández (FC Dallas), Todd Dunivant (LA Galaxy), Dax McCarty (New York Red Bulls), Boniek García (Houston Dynamo), Eric Avila (Chivas USA), Tony Cascio (Colorado Rapids), Jose Villarreal (LA Galaxy)

MF: Andrew Jacobson (FC Dallas) – Was immense in the middle of the park as Dallas snatched a late 1-0 win on the road against New England. Shut down nearly everything the Revolution attempted to create through the midfield, allowing the FCD attackers more comfort going forward.

The OPTA Chalkboard numbers from Saturday's game certainly justify Rosano's comments. Jacobson truly was a force in the midfield at New England, logging 79 actions - his most of any game this season - while completing a team-high six headers. His passing game was on point as well, completing a season-high 37 passes with just seven unsuccessful passes for a successful passing ratio of 84% - also a season-best.

Do you think MLSSoccer.com got this one right? Should any other FC Dallas players have been included after the big road win?

WATCH: Ferreira's goal vs. Chivas USA

David Ferreira is in the running for MLSsoccer.com's Top 3 Performers of the Month for his output through five games in March.

The FC Dallas captain scored a goal or an assist in four of FCD's first five matches. Ferreira's lone goal came in the club's only loss of the season, 3-1, to Chivas USA.

El Torito also set up FCD's game-winning goals against the Colorado Rapids and New England Revolution, with his third assist of the month coming on Dallas' second goal in a 3-2 win over the Houston Dynamo.

After beating the New England Revolution, 1-0, on Saturday, FC Dallas has climbed two more spots in MLSsoccer.com's Power Rankings to the fifth spot. The club has been ranked as low as 15th in the league's power rankings after the loss to Chivas USA in Week 2, but since FC Dallas has made its run to the top of the league standings the team has moved up 10 spots.

MLSsoccer.com's Greg Lalas breaks down Fabian Castillo's game-winning goal against Real Salt Lake in this week's Anatomy of a Goal:

27 March 11:40 am

FC Dallas players Jackson and Fabian Castillo were named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for Week 4. This is Jackson's second time this season - and second straight week - to be named to the Team of the Week, and the first for Castillo in 2013. You can read Nicholas Rosano's explanations of why they made the cut below:

MF: Jackson (FC Dallas) – Worked tirelessly as usual up and down the flanks, and his hard work and pressure were rewarded when he stripped Josh Saunders for Dallas' second goal. Also fed Fabián Castillo on the FCD opener.

MF: Fabián Castillo (FC Dallas) – At his electric best in Dallas' win over RSL on Saturday. Torched Lovel Palmer and fired an unusual but effective high, near-post shot to open the scoring.

What do you think? Should any other FC Dallas players have made the cut this week for their performance against Real Salt Lake?
