Weary FCD fall short of USOC Final:
In their third straight road game across three competitions in six days, FC Dallas fell to the Seattle Sounders by a score of 1-0 in their USOC semifinal match Tuesday night. With the Open Cup now out of the picture for 2011, FCD will return their focus to the home stretch of the MLS regular season and CCL Group Stage.

Sounders take aim at third straight crown:
After eliminating FC Dallas in the USOC semifinals, Seattle will next host the Chicago Fire in the tournament final on October 4. The Sounders have a chance to become the first team to win the Open Cup three years in a row since the late 1960s and the Fire will be playing in their sixth Open Cup final with a chance at their sixth USOC title.
