After a tough start to the season, Andres Escobar is red hot with four goals and an assist in his last eight games in MLS/USOC and he scored his first game-winning goal on Saturday night in the 2-0 win over New England. According to the OPTA Chalkboard, Escobar led all players with four key passes on Saturday night and his 92 actions were third highest on the team.

Andres' 29th minute goal was #10 on ESPNFC's goals of the weekend and it has been nominated for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week, so show your appreciation for his game on Saturday by voting for him early and often this week!

Vote Andres!

FCDTV brings you The Final Word after tonight's 2-0 win over New England:

16 July 2:28 pm

With Mauro back, Blas firing in hat tricks, FC Dallas on a seven-game unbeaten streak, a trip to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Semi-finals coming up and with the weather getting "colder" these last few days, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in July here in Texas! Because it's such a wonderful time, we wanted to celebrate by giving away THREE pairs of tickets to Saturday's game vs New England pres. by Albertsons Market.

Here's how you can win:

All you have to do is post a picture on Twitter or Instagram of yourself supporting FC Dallas with the hashtag #FCDXmasInJuly. We'll randomly select the three photos by Friday at noon to each win a pair of tickets to this Saturday's match at Toyota Stadium against the New England Revolution at 8:00PM pres. by Albertsons Market.

Get your FCD gear on and Tweet/Instagram your pictures out to show your #FCDXmasInJuly support and we'll see you at Toyota Stadium on Saturday!

Win or go home.

Your United States World Cup team has reached the knockout round and battles Belgium on Thursday afternoon at 3:00PM in Brazil & our FCD World Cup Tour pres. by McDonalds is set for the AT&T Plaza outside the American Airlines Center. If you were at either of our downtown Dallas watch parties, you know how special they've been and if you missed it, well just watch this.

Here's your FAQ's for Tuesday's watch party:

When should I arrive?

The match kicks off at 3:00AM, but the plaza was packed an hour before kickoff. Arrival by 1:30-2:00PM should get you a good spot. Should. We had close to 5,000 show up for Thursday's watch party and we expect that many to be here for this knockout round match.

How should I get there?

There is parking available in the Audi Garage on the east side of AAC for $5. We also encourage all attendees to take Dart Light Rail to Victory Station for Thursday's event.

Can I bring food and drinks to AT&T Plaza?

You are permitted to bring a small, sack-sized cooler with non-alcoholic drinks. Beer will be available for purchase outside in the plaza as well as food, soda and water both from outdoor vendors and concession stands inside the AAC.

Can I bring folding chairs?

Yes, folding chairs are permitted into the AT&T Plaza and were all over the plaza last Thursday. The screens are elevated high enough that you will easily be able to see whether you are sitting or standing.

Will all three screens be on?

Yes! We're going to have the USA-Belgium match on the big screen attached to the front of the AAC as well as the two large screens on the sides. Can't wait.

How can we make this an event that unites the whole city?

Invite your friends via our Facebook event, talk it up, get all your friends who live down in that area to come out. Every media outlet in town should be there so let's show DFW that Dallas is a soccer city!

Welcome to the 3rd edition of the FCDallas.com series "Getting Personal". This week I caught up with midfielder Andrew Jacobson.

Andrew was born in Palo Alto, California. He attended UC-Berkeley from 2003 to 2006 where he was named to the All Pac-10 team three times. Jacobson was the 24th overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and DC United's first pick. Instead of playing in the MLS, he chose to sign a contract with Lorient of France's Ligue 1. Jacobson returned to the MLS in 2009 to DC United. He was then selected by the Philadelphia Union in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft in November of the same year. Finally, he was treaded to FC Dallas in February of 2011. Jacobson started in 27 games last season and registered a career high in goals at three before being named captain of FC Dallas before the 2014 season.

- What's your earliest soccer memory?

Andrew: Playing for the Lightning Lizards when I was four years old. There were 14 or 15 kids just running around chasing a ball.

- You played a little bit in France, what was the best thing about the country and what was the worst?

Andrew: The weather was definitely the worst and the best was the food. I haven't been back, but I would, just not to Lorient again.

- Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions before every game?

Andrew: I eat the same meal before every game (rice, chicken and spinach), I go to bed at the same time, same schedule.

- What's one thing you'll splurge your money on?

Andrew: Vacations. I go to Hawaii every year, it's my favorite place to go to

- Favorite sports players in general of all time?

Andrew: Chipper Jones

- Favorite movie?

Andrew: What I liked growing up was Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

- Most embarassing moment on the field?

Andrew: I try to black those out so there are none that I can think of

- Favorite world cup memory?

Andrew: Watching Zidane play when France won the 1998 World Cup

- Who do you think is the best player that's playing the world cup right now?

Andrew: Definitely Messi

- Favorite concert you've ever been too?

Andrew: Probably Jack Johnson and Ben Harper in Berkeley
