On Wednesday night in Commerce City, Colorado, the MLS All-Stars defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 behind a goal and an assist from All-Star Game MVP Kaka.

FCD's representative, Fabian Castillo, came on at halftime and dazzled the Colorado crowd with his trademark mazy runs and slick moves on the ball. Castillo carved out three or four really good opportunities for the All-Stars including one of his trademark jinks that sent summer transfer signing Kieran Trippier spinning.

Castillo was unable to find the back of the net but impressed throughout the evening earning plaudits from the commentators as well as on social media.

Fabian and FC Dallas are back in action on Sunday as they travel to Chicago to take on the Fire at 6:00PM on Fox Sports 1.

The FC Dallas homegrown trio shined on Tuesday night in the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game as the Club America U-20s took the 1-1 contest over the MLS Homegrowns on PKs after each team tallied in the opening 90 minutes.

Goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez got the starting nod from head coach Landon Donovan against Club America and made two key saves to keep a clean sheet in his 45 minutes of action on the night.

Coy Craft and Alex Zendejas came on as substitutions to start the second half and immediately had an impact on the game. Zendejas was credited with one shot on target in the half and had a goal-line clearance of a Club America corner to maintain a 1-0 MLS lead. He also had a PK attempt stopped in the loss. Craft registered a shot in his 45 minutes of action and drew a free kick as well.

The 2015 MLS All-Star festivities will continue on Wednesday night with first-time All-Star Fabian Castillo in action for the MLS team against Tottenham at 8 p.m. CDT on Fox Sports 1.

In addition to all the festivities that are taking place in Portland for the MLS All-Star game this week, the Portland Timbers held two Generation Adidas ESP showcases this past weekend and some FC Dallas Academy players were invited to take part.

In the '98/'99 category, the league was divided into three conferences based on location - East, Central, and West. FC Dallas was in the central conference along with Houston, RSL, Colorado, KC, and Chicago. Each conference played the other two in addition to playing FC Bayern Munich's U16 youth team. FCD had four players selected to be a part of the Central team -- Carlos Avilez, Mark Salas, Damian Hernandez, and Lamar Batista.

In the first match of the night last Friday, the East ESP team defeated the West 1-0.

In the second match of the night, the Central ESP team played Bayern Munich and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Carloz Avilez, Damian Hernandez, and Lamar Batista started during the match and Mark Salas of FCD was loaned to Bayern Munich for the match and played the entire second half for the German team.

The 2013 MLS All-Star Game didn't quite go according to plan for Peter Vermes' side as the MLS All-Stars fell to the Italian side 3-1, but the highlight for FC Dallas fans was surely seeing Raul Fernandez start between the pipes. The Peruvian had a fairly quiet first half in goal making one save while allowing a fourth-minute goal that he could do nothing about.

Raul's start in goal was the first time an FC Dallas goalkeeper has started the MLS All-Star game since Mark Dodd in 1997. Raul spoke to after last night's match.

MLS announced today that George John has been named to the 2013 MLS All-Star inactive roster. Per the CBA, MLS names 32 All-Stars annually. The inactive roster is determined by the player vote.

"It feels good to get recognized by my peers in the league and it’s obviously a huge honor," John said on Wednesday morning. "I’m really happy about it."

FC Dallas is 7-2-5 this year in George John's 14 starts with 10 goals allowed in the 1170 minutes John has played for a GAA average of just .77.

Having missed this season's first match in Seattle due to injury, John returns to his hometown for the first time this year in Saturday's game at CenturyLink Field against Seattle Sounders FC.

Attention all FC Dallas fans! We're doing great in 2013 MLS All-Star voting so far with Raul Fernandez 3rd among all goalkeepers, but it's time to ramp things up!

Today, June 20, at 11:00AM MLS All-Star Twitter voting gets underway! Here's the details:

  • Voting is open until from 12pm ET Thursday, June 20 to 11:59pm ET Friday, June 21, 2013. A short window, so make sure you get as many tweets in as you can.
  • An eligible vote consists of the hashtag #MLSAllStar

    • AND the player's full name (first and last required) with or without a space (Example: Raul Fernandez, or RaulFernandez);
    • OR their twitter @handle (Example: @RaulFernandezV1).
  • A user may vote for multiple players in a tweet; however, a user may not vote for a single player multiple times within one tweet.
  • A user may only vote for players on the All-Star ballot (click here to see the full ballot).
  • There is no limit to the number of tweets a user may submit for any one player. Go nuts.
  • Each Twitter vote counts equal to one text vote, or one online vote.

So you've got 140 characters to vote for all six of the nominated players. Unfortunately, however much a few of our players may have been snubbed from the ballot(we won't name names), a vote for them isn't valid so focus your tweets on the six players that count!

Tweet suggestion: #MLSAllStar #VoteFCD #DTID @RaulFernandezV1 Jackson DavidFerreira Michel KennyCooper @Superraton7

Get to voting! #DTID
